Worship
St Peter’s is a place of worship for its own congregation that comes from across Auckland’s North Shore. It is also a place of worship and celebration for the wider community. Our worship reflects where the churches stand in the community and people also choose to come to St Peter’s for baptisms, weddings and funerals. Please contact the Vicar, the Rev’d Jayson Rhodes for any inquiries about such services. There are also special community celebrations and you are welcome to join us for worship.
In the Anglican Church public worship states what is believed as followers of Jesus Christ. St Peter’s provides a liturgical form of worship with an Anglican identity and flavor but in different styles that vary in formality from choral singing to worship using light, contemporary music and silence. Anglican worship in New Zealand is shaped by a publication called “A New Zealand Prayer Book - He Karakia Mihinare o Aotearoa.”
