SPY St Peter’s Youth  11 years – early 20s

SPY has known many incarnations simply because we listen to our young people and adjust the schedule to suit their changing needs.  During Term 1 we have been meeting at 10am on Sundays but as work and sport commitments have changed we are now meeting fortnightly from 4.30pm-6pm in the youth space for discussion, friendship and afternoon tea.

We respect the views and feelings of our youth and keep confidentiality.  We aim to build strong relationships of trust and integrity and create a safe space where under-pressure teens know they are loved and valued for who they are rather than what they achieve.  We show the love of God to them through our love for them.

We discuss anything they feel is important and aim to offer a holistic understanding of the love of God threading through and underpinning faith/life/church/family/school/work/friends etc.  We also have regular social events: barbeques, lazer force, Rainbow’s End etc and join in with diocesan events.

If you would like more information please look at our facebook page or call The Rev’d Anna Lindsey on 021665976

This year’s Patronal Festival was one of celebration as nine parishioners were confirmed by Bishop Ross on the Feast of St Peter and St Paul.
