While St Peter’s and St Michael’s can be seen as places of worship, they are both also special places for the younger generations and so sanctuaries for children on all days of the week. A time to play is very much the chance to learn and this is emphasised with the Lakeview Kindergarten as part of St Peter’s grounds.

On a Wednesday there are the sounds of mainly music with parents and children and on a Sunday there are activities as part of children’s church. To help children feel welcome there is an area set aside for them during worship with their own activities. Different groups of children and youth gather at St Peter’s and St Michael’s both after school and on Sundays, ranging from the junior choir to after school programmes and youth groups. The invitation to them and their families is to encounter each other and to learn about God in fun interactive ways.
